Course: SOCY 1150 – Principles of Sociology (3 units of load) at Perry High School
Course Description: This course provides an introduction to the theoretical perspectives and research methods used by sociologists to understand and interpret our social world.
Major components of the course include a sociological analysis of culture, socialization, social institutions, stratification, and social change with society.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required: Master’s degree and 18 graduate credit hours in sociology (either as part of the degree or additional course work beyond the degree).
Preferred: Master’s degree in sociology and experience teaching college-level courses at a community college.
COMPENSATION: Part-time faculty earn $792/unit of load.
